About Megan Claire Watson
I’m Megan Claire Watson. Wife. Mother of 4. Business owner. In my spare time, I enjoy reading self help books, renovating furniture and homes, and sitting outside smelling flowers listening to nature.
When I was born, my parents named me “Megan Claire” with the intention of me being called Claire because Claire Megan “didn’t sound right.” To the age of 19 when I met my husband, I was Claire. Wellllll that husband of mine is something else. He was told one day that he couldn’t call me Megan even if he tried. He doesn’t back down from bets & ever since then, I have been Megan. So family and people who have known me before the age of 20, call me Claire, to everyone else I am Megan. I respond and answer to both names, but crazily after 19 years of having one name, I have gotten more comfortable being called a different name & now introduce myself as Megan.
We live in a little town called Watson, Louisiana. Watson is country living with acres of land, farmhouses, animals, and a town where everybody knows everybody. My worst habit is probably my eating style. I somehow live on caffeine, cookies, fried foods, and snacks. I enjoy working along side my husband who supports all of my dreams. We have a sports training business Watson Ballers Elite, we serve on a youth football board, he volunteers coaching numerous sports, & we spend almost every evening at the ball park or gym all 6 of us. I have a full time job as a Family Support Coordinator supporting families of children with special needs and developmental delays.
I graduated from Louisiana State University when my oldest was 2 years old, and I was 8 months pregnant with our second boy. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies. Having 2 young children did not stop me from pushing to learn more. Shortly after earning my bachelor’s degree, I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Early Childhood from University of North Dakota.
I have a passion for relationships, child development, reviving houses and furniture, and personal growth. Here on my blog, I promise to be open with you by sharing parenting strategies, family tips, personal experiences that will encourage thought provoking personal reflecting, house renovations, furniture updates, and strategies to push forward and get over the mountain even when you feel like you are constantly drowning in the lake below the mountain. I hope by being open with you, my blog encourages you to strive to obtain things you never saw as attainable, reach satisfaction in your family life, and challenges you to think in a way that is not conformed to what society says, but encourages you to independently create values and beliefs that strengthen you to make a difference in the world by making informed decisions for yourself.
