Our flooded first flip house!
When you put a risk taker together with a visionary…… Without any renovation or handy work experience, we bought a flooded house! We did the flip house right after the great 2017 flood with NO MONEY! We borrowed lots of money and dug ourselves in a big HOLE! We were months behind schedule, out of money, and didn’t know how to do a lot of the remaining tasks. Eventually we finished the house, and that hurricane of an experience showed me just how capable we were because the house turned out BEAUTIFUL!
I’ve had the dream to continue doing renovations but the time just wasn’t right. We were placed in a season of dormancy…. spent some years growing, got in a better financial position, and learned more about business and management.
Then we went big!
I have never shared much from our 1st flip honestly because I had strong feelings of embarrassment and shame of barely finishing, the financial hole we dug, and the inability to continue doing renovations like I had dreamed. With this foreclosure, we were given the opportunity to try again! I plan to start sharing our renovation experiences hoping to motivate someone to realize just how capable they are. Follow along!
